Welcome Address

The International College of Surgeons invites you to participate in this ICS 2009 Beijing Conference, which is to be held between 13th and 16th November 2009 in the capital city of China, Beijing. This is a milestone for the College and it is the first time in the history of the College that our ICS Conference is being held in this great country of China. Your attendance and personal involvement with this event will greatly contribute to the success of this Conference.
The Conference has one major theme, that of Minimally Invasive Surgery: State of The Art, which is very relevant to modern day practicing surgeons, as key-hole surgery is replacing open surgery in many surgical areas.
The Scientific Committee of the College has focused and selected the most important areas where minimally invasive surgery can be applied. Clearly, within the confines of time, one has to be selective without compromising comprehensiveness for the topics to be covered.
The Conference has invited world-renowned Speakers. There will also be Master classes to cater to the needs of surgeons who wish to improve their knowledge and skills.
